Naturopathic doctors are regulated health care professionals with a minimum of seven years of post-secondary education, including four years of naturopathic medical training. This training includes education in physical medicine, botanical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, nutrition, and therapeutic dietary and lifestyle interventions. Naturopathic medicine aims to address the root cause of dysfunction, and to restore the body’s proper function without drug therapies.
The naturopathic principles that guide the formation of your individualized treatment plan are:
First, to do no harm
To co-operate with the healing powers of nature
To address the fundamental causes of disease
To heal the whole person through individualized treatment
To teach the principles of healthy living and preventive medicine
What to Expect During Your First Visit
An initial naturopathic intake at CK Performance Health is 75 minutes long, to allow for a detailed assessment, any necessary physical exams, as well as a sustainable, individualized treatment plan. We understand the intricate connection of physical, mental, and spiritual health, and will explore the best treatment strategies to suit your needs.
